Calling all foodies at MKT! There are a number of new restaurants on the scene in Wilmington, and many of the area's most popular are making updates to their already impressive operations. Stay in the know about the food scene with these tasty tips.
After a number of other successful bsuienss ventures like La Fia Bistro + Market, husband and wife team Bryan Sikora and Andrea Loconti decided to expand their restaurant empire into a casual eatery with a focus on great beers, wine and cocktails. Merchant Bar's menu features a variety of global dishes and small plates, as well as a slick, modern decor and a large window that offers great people watching on Market Street.
Chesapeake & Maine
From the folks behind Rehoboth's Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Chesapeake and Maine fills an always welcome niche for upscale seafood restaurants. The dinner-only eatery offers inventive seafood dishes, a fresh raw bar and scratch-made spirits, as well as Dogfish Head beers at the bar and even in some of the dishes.
Two Stones Pub Hockessin
This brand new craft beer bar is located in the Lantana Square Shopping Center and offers seating for 100 people. The century-old bar is made of reclaimed wood, and the menu features hearty American dishes like salads, burgers, tacos and more.
